By car
Most visitors to Croatia come by car from neighboring countries: Italy, Austria, Slovenia and Germany. New highways to Rijeka and Dalmatia help arrive to destinations quickly. However, in the period 01.07. - 15.08. dense traffic can be expected on Saturdays.
By train
Croatia has direct connections with Slovenia, Hungary, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro, and indirect connections with almost all the European countries.

By bus
Regular international bus lines connect Croatia with neighboring countries and the majority of Central European and West European countries.
By boat
Many visitors arrive in Croatia by ferry from Italy. The main ferry lines are Jadrolinija, SEM Marina and Adriatica. International car-ferry services: Zadar-Ancona, Korčula-Stari Grad/Hvar-Split-Ancona, Split-Ancona and Dubrovnik-Bari.
By plane
Main airports in Croatia are located in Zagreb, Pula, Rijeka, Zadar, Split, Osijek and Dubrovnik. Flights connect Zagreb to a number of European cities including Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Dublin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Istanbul, London, Munich, Paris, Prague, Sarajevo, Skopje, Vienna and Zurich. Split also has several connections with cities throughout Europe. Other airports are not as widely used, although there are direct international flights to Rijeka, Pula, Split and Dubrovnik during the summer season. There is also an airport on the island Brač. There are numerous airfields all over Croatia, suitable for smaller aircrafts. All airports have public bus and taxi transport facilities.
The country’s main airline is Croatia Airlines (OU). Several other continental and international airlines also operate regular connections, mainly to Zagreb, including Aeroflot, Air Bosnia, Air France, Austrian Airlines, British Airways, KLM, Lufthansa, Malev, Germanwings, Scandinavian Airlines and Turkish Airlines.
